" SWC:djg-c 7/23/81 RES 0 L UTI 0 N ~ 52.---8JllJL ORiGINAL JUt 2 7 1~81 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE REPAINTING OF FIRE APPAHATUS; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8862, adopted June 1, 1981, the City Clerk called for bids for the repainting of fire apparatus; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed with the City Clerk for the repainting of fire apparatus; and WHEREAS, Factory Systems, Inc., Millbrae, California, is the lowest responsible bidder for said services and it is the intention of this Council to award said bid to Factory Systems, Incj NO~v, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL FO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of Factory Systems, Inc., in the amount of Thirty Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-two and 90/100 Dollars ($30,372.90), for the repainting of fire apparatus in accordance with the bidder's proposal, dated July 14, 1981, and in accordance with the specifications therefore on file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said services. 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Factory Systems, Inc. for the furnishing of the above mentioned services in accordance with, and subject to, the terms accordance with the aforementioned bidder's proposal. 3. Any informalities in the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof are waived. 4. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for the furnishing of the above mentioned material, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to all unsuccessful bidders, and to the successful bidder upon execution by it of a contract for the performance of said work, all security guaranteeing execution of the contract upon award. 8919 * * *
