C. Council Member Howard — stated that the California Coastal Commission <br />sent a letter to the City of Redwood City and the Pride and Beautification Committee <br />for their efforts throughout the year and the past 8 years in the efforts in their Coastal <br />Clean -up in the 17 miles of waterway. The last clean -up involved 850,000 pounds of <br />trash, the biggest trash haul ever out of the City's waterways. <br />10. D. Council Member Pierce — announced that as part of the increasing number <br />of cultural activities occurring in Redwood City, the Peninsula Symphony will be <br />coming to the Fox Theatre on January 19. She stated that the special program is <br />music of Spain that includes Flamenco dancers with the symphony playing behind <br />them. There are group discounts available and tickets are available through Peninsula <br />Symphony. <br />11.
