MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST 10.A. Legislation (information only) - This sub - section involves possible discussion of City Position on Proposed Legislation Described in the League of California Cities Priority Focus Bulletin No. 43 -2002. Council may direct staff to act on positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus available in City Clerk's Department). 10.13. Council Member Ruskin - stated that a great deal of rain occurred of late and there was a great deal of flooding in the alphabet streets as a result of Cordilleras Creek overflowing. He stated that he surveyed the area and was escorted by co- chairs of the neighborhood former Council Member Buchan and Jan LaMantia into a home where the flooding was significant. He stated the - roblem - )ncerns both Redwood City and San Carlos, indicating discussion is necea y to adcress the issue. 11. PUBLIC HEARING -None 12. BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES - None 13. CLOSED SESSION - No action to report M/S Howard /Pierce to adjourn to the closed session. The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote in memory of Dorothy Burke who passed away at the age of 95. She was very active in the community, a founding member of the Archives Committee of the Redwood City Library, a graduate of Sequoia High School and Stanford University.
