Greenblatt, Esq. on behalf of Gerilyn and Richard <br />Gillespsy claim no. 2068B as submitted; MINUTE ORDER 02 -366 <br />B. Approve warrants dated through December 16, 2002 and usual and necessary <br />payments through January 6, 2003; MINUTE ORDER 02 -367 <br />8. STAFF REPORT - None <br />9. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS - None <br />10. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />10.A. Legislation (information only) - This sub - section involves possible <br />discussion of City Position on Proposed Legislation Described in the League of <br />California Cities Priority Focus Bulletin No. 43 -2002. Council may direct staff to act on <br />positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus <br />available in City Clerk's Department). <br />10.13. Council Member Ruskin - stated that a great deal of rain occurred of late <br />and there was a great deal of flooding in the alphabet streets as a result of Cordilleras <br />Creek overflowing. He stated that he surveyed the area and was escorted by co- chairs <br />of the neighborhood former Council Member Buchan and Jan LaMantia into a home <br />where the flooding was significant. He stated the - roblem - )ncerns both Redwood <br />City and San Carlos, indicating discussion is necea y to adcress the issue. <br />11. PUBLIC HEARING -None <br />12. BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES - None <br />13. CLOSED SESSION - No action to report <br />M/S Howard /Pierce to adjourn to the closed session. The motion passed by a <br />unanimous voice vote in memory of Dorothy Burke who passed away at the age of 95. <br />She was very active in the community, a founding member of the Archives Committee <br />of the Redwood City Library, a graduate of Sequoia High School and Stanford <br />University. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Patricia S.
