<br />FY 2008/2009 FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS BY PRIORITY(1) <br />ENTITLEMENT & REPROGRAMMED FUNDS <br /> <br />8A <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />PRIORITY # 1: Promote affordable housing for all populations by increasing the <br />number of affordable, accessible, decent safe and sanitary, and ownership units for <br />low and moderate income households. <br /> <br />$56,250 HOME - Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) setaside, These <br />funds have been reserved for use by an eligible CHDO, Cedar Street Apartments, Inc., to <br />assist in the development of 14 units of supportive housing for adults with mental health <br />disabilities. These funds are setaside by federal statute and represents 150/0 of the annual <br />HOME entitlement. <br /> <br />$75,000 CDSG Program Income - Home Improvement Program Support: City of <br />Redwood City, 1017 Middlefield Road. These funds will pay program support costs for <br />the operation of the Housing Rehabilitation Loan Programs and Tenant Assistance <br />Programs. Eligible costs are limited to staff, supplies and support costs directly related to <br />carrying out the loan programs. <br /> <br />$25,000 CDSG - Program Income <br />$ 5,000 CDSG - Housing Accessibility Modification Program, Center for the <br />Independence of the Disabled, 1515 South EI Camino Real, San Mateo, These funds will <br />be used to provide citywide accessibility improvements to residences occupied by home <br />owners and renters who are physically challenged, are elderly and fragile, or non elderly <br />and have other disabilities. <br /> <br />$194,887 ARRA <br />$200,000 CDSG <br />$281,250 HOME - Housing First Acquisition Project, Site to be determined. <br />City of Redwood City, 1017 Middlefield Road. These funds will be used to acquire <br />affordable housing units for citywide low income and chronic homeless populations. <br /> <br />$20,000 CDBG - Rebuilding Together, 841 Kaynyne Street, Redwood City. These <br />funds will be used to pay for materials toward rebuilding of homes on National Rebuild Day <br />each year for very low income homeowners citywide. <br /> <br />1 These priorities are listed in rank order. <br />
