<br />8A <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />PRIORITY # 2: Provide Public Service activities that help to reduce poverty, <br />prevent homelessness, and provide intervention programs that meets Basic Human <br />needs and Assists Special Needs Populations <br /> <br />$15,000 CDBG - Domestic Violence Shelter (CORA) Community Overcoming <br />Relationship Abuse, Address Suppressed. These funds will pay for operation costs for a <br />citywide shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. <br /> <br />$15,000 CDBG - Daybreak Shelter for Homeless Youth, Youth Enrichment Services, <br />639 Douglas Avenue. This is a citywide Program and funds will be used to pay operating <br />costs for transitional housing for homeless youth. <br /> <br />$45,000 CDBG - Fair Housing Counseling, Project Sentinel, 430 Sherman Avenue, <br />Suite 308, Palo Alto. This is a citywide Program and funds will be used to provide <br />assistance to Redwood City residents who believe they have experienced discrimination in <br />the housing market. <br /> <br />$150,000 CDBG <br />$37,500 HOME - General Administration, City of Redwood City, 1017 Middlefield <br />Road. These funds are used to pay staff wages and benefits to administer Community <br />Development Block Grant, HOME, and other federal or state funds. This budget will <br />provide salaries, supplies and professional services necessary to implement the <br />Consolidated Plan priorities and strategies. <br /> <br />$15,000 CDBG - Homesharing Help & Information Program, Human Investment <br />Project, Inc., 2600 Middlefield Road. These funds will be used citywide to provide <br />homesharing help, matching people seeking housing with others willing to share their <br />housing accommodations. <br /> <br />$20,000 CDBG - Maple Street Shelter, Shelter Network of San Mateo County, 1580A <br />Maple Street. These funds will be used to pay operating costs for an emergency shelter for <br />homeless persons with mental disabilities on a citywide basis including assistance in <br />securing health care, financial benefits, employment, training, and alternatives to long term <br />housing. <br /> <br />$16,250 CDBG - Rotating Church Shelter Program, Interfaith Hospitality Network, <br />1720 EI Camino Real, Ste.7, Burlingame. These funds will be used citywide to support <br />operation costs to administer a Rotating Church Shelter Program. <br /> <br />$40,000 CDBG <br />$40,000 General Fund - Redwood Family House, Shelter Network of San Mateo <br />County, 110 Locust Street. These funds will be used citywide to pay operating costs for a <br />transitional housing facility for homeless families. <br /> <br />$12,000 CDBG - Safe Harbor Shelter, Samaritan House, 295 North Access Road, South <br />San Francisco. These funds will be used to support operating costs for an emergency <br />shelter for homeless individuals. <br />
