<br />VffiEREAS, on the 17th day of September, 1923, <br />there was regularly presented to and introduced before <br />said Board of Trustees of said To~vn of Redwood City an <br />ordinance calling a special eleotion to be held in said <br />Town of Redwood City on the 16th day of October, 1923, <br />for the purpose of submitting, and submitting to the <br />qualified voters of said town the question of excluding <br />certain uninhabited territory from the boundaries and <br />limits of the Town of Redwood City, and oertain propositions <br />to incur a bonded indebtedness to pay the cost of certain <br />municipal improvements, and which said ordinance and <br />resolution was thereafter and on the 24th day of September, <br />1923, duly passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of <br />said Town of Redwood City'; and <br />WHEREAS, said Board of Trustees in and by said <br />ordinance appointed qualified officers of said eleotion <br />as presoribed by law, and did order due notice of suoh <br />special election to be published and given for the time <br />and in the manner provided by law, and did establish and <br />in said notice of el~otion designate the voting preoincts <br />and the places at which the polls would be open in said <br />municipal corporation, which notice distinptly and in due <br />form stated the propositions to be submitted, and <br />specifioally desoribed the boundaries of the uninhabited <br />territory sought to be excluded from the boundaries and <br />limits of said Town of Redwood City, thereby desoribing <br />the same in such manner as to appraise the voters of the <br />particular land sought to be exoluded, and invited the <br />qualified electors of said Town of Redwood City to vote <br />upon such proposition by marking their ballots "For <br />Exolusion" or "Against Exclusion"; and <br /> <br />-5- <br />
