6. Course Control: Those portions of the "Tour De Pen~nsu a" taking place in the
<br /> public right of way shall occur in a manner and shall be limited to that area
<br /> designated by the Chief of Police. The permittee has requested the City to provide
<br /> two Police Officers for the control of traffic in connection with said "Tour De
<br /> Peninsula", and has agreed to pay for the cost of the officers. The Department will
<br /> provide the officers requested.

<br /> 7. Insurance_: Permittee shall furnish to the City pubiic !iability and property damage
<br /> insurance naming the City of Redwood City, it Council, boards, commissions,
<br /> officers, employees, volunteers, and agents as insureds, or additional insureds,
<br /> insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or death to any person or
<br /> persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the activities herein permitted, er
<br /> alleged to have resulted or alleged to have arisen therefrom, or from any act or
<br /> omission to act, of Permittee in connection therewith, in the amounts of $1,000,000
<br /> for each person and $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage
<br /> insurance for damage or injury to, or destruction of property, inctuding the loss of
<br /> use thereof, in the amount of $1,000,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in
<br /> form satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten
<br /> (10) days prior to commencement of the event.

<br /> 8. Damacle to Public Property: Permittee shalt reimburse the City for the costs for any
<br /> damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated route, caused by or
<br /> arising out of the conducting of the "Tour De Peninsula" permitted hereunder, or the
<br /> ads, omissions to act, of persons participating in said event. All signs or other
<br /> markings placed in or upon public property, including the public right of way in
<br /> connection with the "Tour De Peninsula", shall be removed immediately following
<br /> said event.

<br /> 9. Comoliance With Laws: Permittee shatl comply with ail appro0riate and applicable
<br /> rules, regulations and laws in connection with the conducting of said event, or any
<br /> activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in addition to all other permits
<br /> which are or may be required for conducting the "Tour De Peninsula" or any
<br /> associated activity.
<br />
<br /> 10. Hold Harmless: Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify and save
<br /> harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, commissions,
<br /> employees, volunteers, and agents from all suits, actions, damages, or claims to
<br /> which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature whatsoever, resulting from or
<br /> arising out of the performance or failure to perform of Permittee hereunder, or
<br /> otherwise arising from or arising out of the "Tour De Peninsuta," and the activities
<br /> herein permitted.
<br /> 11 .Additional Matters: This event is not a race. Therefore, all participants wiil obey
<br /> traffic laws, and yield to pedestrian and vehicular traffic, where appropriate,
<br /> Additional or further matters not herein described or contemplated in connection
<br /> with the "Tour De Peninsula" shall not be effectuated without the prior written
<br />
