<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />~. t"",..4t; ,h~~ <br />.J <br /> <br />, YffiEREAS retrenchment within this cit.y and other municipalities <br /> <br /> <br />proper maintenance af streets and roads within this <br /> <br /> <br />nd other municipalities and endangers the disintegration and ne- <br /> <br /> <br />leet of ad~quate maintenance thereof notwithstanding an investment <br /> <br /> <br />f the property owners of many millions of dollars in the buildi.ng f <br /> <br /> <br />payment for said streets and roads within such municipalities, <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Association of County Supervisors of the State <br />.. <br /> <br /> <br />alifornia assured the last session of the Sta te Legis:lature tha t <br /> <br /> <br />he several Counties of the State represented by. said ASSOCiation <br /> <br /> <br />f Supervisors would allocate to municipaltieis within such Counti~ <br /> <br /> <br />reas,onable proportion of such Counties t share of gasoline taxes, <br /> <br /> <br />icense fees and truck licenses) dependent upon the proportion of <br /> <br /> <br />ounty population within municipalities in relation to the entire <br /> <br />opulation of said Counties, and <br />WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Redwood CitY' <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />elieves that one-half cent is a reasonable amount to be allowed to <br /> <br />thirteen municpali ties within San Mateo County from the gasolin <br /> <br />received by sal~ County <br /> <br />aggregating approximately $82,150.90 based on <br /> <br /> <br />revenue for the f'iscal year 1932-33.. as a reasonable division <br /> <br /> <br />reasonable sum for said thirteen municipal:lties. said sum <br /> <br /> <br />approximately thirty-nine percent of the total. funds of the <br /> <br />ounty from said sources and leaving for the maintenance of roads <br /> <br />said municipalities approximately sixty-one percent <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />hereby reCluests the Board of Supervisors; <br /> <br />o f Redwood 01 tY' <br /> <br />f S~n Mat.eo County to provide in its budget for the fiscal year <br />sum of approximately $82 )000. for maintenance: 01' roads' <br />i~htin said thirteen municipalities, said sum to be <br />llocated to said municipalities on the basis of popilllat:tonn <br /> <br />-2- <br />
