DES:dju 05/02/95 (048/34) <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12457 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1994-1995 SEWER MAIN <br /> REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br /> FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br /> DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12437, adopted March 27, <br />1995, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1994-1995 Sewer <br />Main Replacement Project in the City of Redwood City, California; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, four bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, D.W. Young Construction Company, Inc. of Union <br />City, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to D.W. <br /> <br />Young Construction Company, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of D.W. Young Construction Company, Inc., in <br />the amount of Eight Hundred Eighty-nine Thousand Five Hundred <br />Fifty-eight and No/100 Dollars ($889,558.00), computed in <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated April 26, 1995, for <br />the 1994-1995 Sewer Main Replacement Project, is hereby accepted <br />and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
