Irrigation at the site is currently served by the Mid-Peninsula Water District, and the consultant will work with our Recycled Water Program to irrigate the eastern portion of the interchange. Redwood City is required to coordinate this activity with Caltrans as Redwood City is the lead agency on the Ralston Avenue/Marine Parkway/Route 101 Interchange Project. The City of Belmont has separately retained the landscape sub-consultant to incorporate the design modifications into the final contract. These changes will be segregated in the bid schedule, and Belmont will pay for any cost increase resulting from the modifications. Amendment No.2 ALTERNATIVES Council may choose not to approve Amendment No. 4 to the Agreement for design consulting and construction services support or Amendment NO.2 to the Agreement for landscape design with Mark Thomas & Company, Inc. for the Ralston Avenue/Marine Parkway/Route 101 Interchange Project. Council may direct staff to modify the scope of work, or seek other qualified service providers. FISCAL IMPACT Funds have been previously approved and appropriated and appear in FY 2008/09 budget as RWS-STID Phase 1&2 - Construction Fund, R/S Traffic Improvement District with an available balance of $491,973.82 as of April 30, 2009. ~ Chu Chang, P.
