7A
Page 26

April 17, 2009

t\ee.. b~ ~(~I.~
+"17-09P03:55 RCVD

REF: Kentfield Avenue Housing Project

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is being written in regards to the Kentfield A venue building project. Having been a
permanent resident of Redwood City for over 50 years, and a neighbor to that area, we felt the
need to write. Because there was no reasonably priced and nicely designed housing in our area,
we sold our home and moved away. \Ve would have loved nothing more than to stay in Redwood
City.

We are very familiar with the "south" Kentfield A venue area and have slowly watched the
deterioration of that neighborhood take place. The area surrounding that neighborhood is vibrant
and well taken care of. Therefore, something needs to be done to revitalize it and make it
beautiful and affordable for residents again.

By allowing this new "build" to take place, the area will be greatly enhanced. It.will not only be
visually appealing to the eye, but also a definite boost to the home prices in that neighborhood.

We have been personal friends of both the Bennett's and the Ramacciotti's for over 50 years.
These folks are indescribable, their integrity unmatched. They have donated much time, money
and energy to the community of Redwood City. Luigi Ramacciotti had a dream to own and
maintain a small portion of land to raise his family and to grow and produce a garden. The fruits
of that labor were always shared with family, friends and NEIGHBORS. He cared deeply about
people and his community and those ideas and beliefs have been reflected into the drawings and
construction of this "affordable" housing project. He would want his property to be used in a
way that serviced everyone.

It is our hope and our wish that this project is approved. For those neighbors that seem wary,
they have only good things to reap from this project. In the end they will all be greatly satisfied.

If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us via telephone or email.

Sincerely,

Jim and Colleen Hamilton
6700 Horsemans Way
Anderson, CA 96007
530-357-2049
ctenaya@aol.com
