The work will be performed in front of the remaining approximately 300 parcels in <br />Area A2 on Alameda de las Pulgas. Fernside, Foothill, McGarvey, Westwood, <br />Crompton, Hastings and Chesterton. If all sites are repaired in this area, the project will <br />begin work in Area B1 North, north of Edgewood Road and west of Alameda de las <br />Pulgas. Area B1 South, west of Alameda, south of the San Carlos border, will follow. <br /> <br />Staff maximizes preservation of retainable trees by the installation of poured-in-place <br />rubber surfacing which is done in order to avoid root cutting. The Urban Forestry <br />Specialist will inspect every tree site where there is conflict between the sidewalk and <br />tree roots to make a decision, in conjunction with the project inspector, about how to <br />
