<br />A IT ACHMENT 1 <br /> <br />6.2C <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY REAFFIRMING <br />MEMBERSHIP IN THE SAN MATEO COUNTY PRE-HOSPITAL <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES GROUP <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is a member of the San Mateo County Pre- <br /> <br />Hospital Emergency Medical Services Group ("Group"), a joint powers agency which <br /> <br />was established in 1997 by and through the adoption of a Joint Powers Agreement <br /> <br />("Agreement"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the agreement has been amended three times, most recently on <br /> <br />February 9, 2009; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the Group is to provide pre-hospital advanced life <br /> <br />support emergency medical services within San Mateo County (except within the <br /> <br />jurisdictional boundaries of the City of South San Francisco); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the JPA will provide pre-hospital advanced life support emergency <br /> <br />medical services pursuant to a Designated Paramedic First Response Service Provider <br /> <br />Agreement with the County of San Mateo. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />The City Council reaffirms its membership in the San Mateo County Pre-Hospital <br />Emergency Medical Services Group in accordance with the Joint Powers Agreement <br />which established the Group. <br />Passed and adopted this 15th day of June, 2009 by the following vote: <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Atty/Reso/Reso.1916 <br />060109 <br />
