<br />ATTACHMENT 2 <br /> <br />6.2C <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE CONTINUANCE OF THE AUTOMATIC AID <br />AGREEMENT FOR FIRE RESPONSES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as part of the 1997 San Mateo County Pre-Hospital Emergency <br /> <br />Services Provider Group Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) a Countywide Automatic Aid <br /> <br />Agreement for Fire Responses (the "Agreement") was adopted by the City Council of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Agreement identifies the Apparatus Deployment Plan as the key <br /> <br />component to managing move-u and cover procedures for fire station coverage, <br /> <br />borderless responses, boundary drops, and the dispatch of the closes resource to a call <br /> <br />for service regardless of jurisdiction; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Agreement will expire on June 30, 2009, unless renewed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the public interest and the interest of Redwood City that the <br /> <br />Agreement be continued. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That the Automatic Aid Agreement for Fire Responses is hereby approved and <br />the Mayor is authorized to sign and execute it on behalf of the City. <br />Passed and adopted this 15th day of June, 2009 by the following vote: <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AttylReso/Reso .1917 <br />060109 <br /> <br />1 <br />
