Affordability Covenants <br /> Consistent with the Housing Vllork Program for FY 2008/�9, affordability <br /> covenants were approved for market rate, mulfii-family projec#s outside of <br /> the redevelopment project area. These projects included: Peninsula <br /> Park, Canada Gollege, and 885 Woodside Road. <br /> 2. Bradford Street Project <br /> An agreement has been�entered into with the State Depar#ment of Toxic <br /> Substance Control to help resol�e the environmenta! issues on this site. <br /> The Agency will contract €or a detai�ed engineering report for the removal <br /> action work plan. The tenants have vacated the office bui�ding owned by <br /> the Agency and the building wi11 be demolished as part of the FY 2�49/10 <br /> work program. The developer selection process, including the issuance of <br /> a Request for ProposalslQualifications, will proceed in FY 2Q09/10 once <br /> the environmental issues have been resolved. <br /> 3. Cedar Street <br /> This project for 15 studio units for extremely low-income individuais has <br /> ob#ained its environmental clearance, General P�an and zoning <br /> amendmenfis and financing. It is schedu(ed to break ground in June 09. <br /> 4. Habitat for Humanity <br /> This project of eight low income awnership units was subsfiantially <br /> comple#e in May 2009. 4wners of the seven three-bedroom units are in <br /> th�e process of moving in. A special outreach process is underway for the <br /> one wheelchair accessible unit. <br /> 5. C?ther <br /> Other accomplishments in the area of affordable housing/blight remova! <br /> inciuded the acquisition of the He4ler Street property and ongoing <br /> discussions with both nonprofit and for-proft hous�ng developers <br /> regarding various sites �Day's Inn, Me�'s Bowl, 333 Main St. and the <br /> vacan# Dodge proper#y}. <br /> 8 <br />
