Annual Conference Vo�ing Frocedures 2UOg Annual Conference 1. 4ne City One Vote. Each member ci�y has a right ta ca.st ane vote on matters pertaining to � Lea�ue policy. 2. Designa�ing a City''�oting Representative. Prior to the Annual Conference, each city � ° council may designate a voting delegate and up to two a�ternates;these individuals are iden�ified on the Voting Delegate Fonn provided to the League Credential.s Commit�ee. 3. Registering with the Credentials Committee. The voting delegate,or altemates,may pick up the city's vating caxd at the�oting Delegate Desk in the conference regis�ratian area. Voting delegates and alternates must si�n in at the Voting Delegate Desk. Here they will receive a special sticker on their name ba.dge and thus be admitted to the voting area at the Business Meetxng. 4, Signing Initiated Resolution Peti�ions. On1y those individuals who are�oting delegates �or alternates) and who have picked up their city's v�ting card by providing a signature to the Creden�ials Conzmit�ee at the Voting Delegate Desk inay sign petitions to init�ate a resolution. � 5. Voting. To cast the city's vote,a city o�cial must have in his or her possession the city's � voting card and be registered wit�h the Credentials Cammittee. The voting card may be transferred freeIy between�he voting de�egate and alternates,but may not be transferred to another city official who is neither a voting delegate or alternat.e. . 6. Vating Area at Business Meeting. At the Business Mee�ing,individuals with a vot�ng card will sit in a separate area. Admission will be timited to those ind.ividuals with a special sticker on the�r name baage identifying them as a voting delegate or a�ternate. 7. Resolving Disputes. In case af dispute,the Credentials Committee will determine the validity of signatures on petitioned resolutions and the rig�it o�a city official to vate at the Bvsiness Mee#;ing.
