PERM�TS <br /> ,Purpose <br /> The City requires permits for certain activifiies whicf�� accur in Courthouse Square to <br /> pro#ec# the pub�ic's health, sa#ety, ar�c� welfare by ensur��ig that: (1) adequate resources <br /> and services are provided for the event:; (;�} details of the prvposed activ�ty are provided <br /> sn order to establish perm;fi requirements; (�) fihe nt�mber a°nd f�equency of events are <br /> managed; and (4} appropriate insurance is provid�ed to relie�e the City of liability from <br /> any harm that may occur. Palicies and procedures for Cour#house Square events are <br /> prescr�b�d in the Courth�use Square Adrrin�strative Guidefines. <br /> Permits Required for E�ents <br /> A permit is required for any activity in the Cour�house Square under one or more of the <br /> following circumstances: <br /> 1. The activi�'requires, o�' is reasonably likely to require, City services inc(uding <br /> but not fimi#ed to:. set up a�d/or clean up; police or fire protection; utiiities such <br /> as electricity or viiater; <br /> 2. The a�fivity includes the placement of any temporary structure, including but <br /> not limi�ed to any sign, stage, boofh, canopy, barrier, fence, table, chair, or <br /> te n t; <br /> 3. The activity includes, but is not limited to: <br /> a. Fifty or more attendees; <br /> b. Driving or placing vehicles (e.g., cars, trucks, vans} onto the Square; <br /> c. Using amplified equipment, loud speaker, or other device ten dec�bels <br /> abvve iocal ambient measured 100 feet from the Cour#house Square <br /> praperty line for more than five (5} minutes between the hours of 7 a.m. to <br /> 11 �.m. every day pe�or�a�►izat�cn; <br /> d. Accepting dvn�tions; <br /> e. Soliciting or peddling as defiined in Chap#er 28.1; <br /> Page=�aJ�12 <br />
