<br />determine that due and legal notice of said hearing was <br />given as required by the ordinances of the City of Redwood <br />City as appe~rs: from the affidavit of L. M. DUNCAN on file <br />in the office of the City Clerk; <br />THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Council_ of the <br />City of Redwood City and said Council does hereby declare <br />the building or structure situated upon the real property <br />hereinabove described to be a public nuisance and does <br />hereby direct the owner thereof to abate said nuisance <br />within thirty (30) days from the passage and adoption of <br />this resolution, by discontinuing the us~ of said property <br />by accommodating roomers who are not members of the occupant's <br />family ,and serving meals to boarders who are not members <br />of such occupant's family, and if said nuisance is not so <br />abated by said owner the City Attorney of said City of <br />Redwood City is hereby directed to file and prosecute a <br />suit or action in the Superior Court of the County of San <br />Mateo, state of California, in the name of said City of <br />Redwood City to obtain an injunction against the maintenance <br />of said nuisance and to recover damagem for such maintenance <br />of such nuisance, costs and other relief, as well as to <br />institute and prosecute such criminal prooeedings as he may <br />be advised for any misdemeanor now being committed by anyone <br />upon the premises hereinabove described. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City <br />of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th <br />day of September, 1944, by the following votet <br />Aye a, and in favor of the passage and adoption of', <br />the foregoing resolution:' <br />C ounc11men: ANDERSON, ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, <br />FLETCEER, GRANGER, McNULTY, HILTON. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
