Neither of us has strong feelings about sale of alcohol at Target - even Safeway sells liquors. However, we feel it's bad enough we have an "adult" store and Hanky Panky in the neighborhood and feel that a 12-hour a day, seven-day a week "massage" parlor cannot benefit the neighborhood in any way. We feel strongly that would add to the current traffic congestion and be detrimental in other ways as well. Our neighborhood is not a location for this type of business, "reputable" or not. Neither of us, unfortunately, can attend the meeting~ so I've sent these comments instead. Please contact us via this E-mail address if necessary. I haven't heard yet and I'm not sure I care but I do think this might matter to some people. I just don't think we need any more liquor sales in the area. I personally might not be as vocal on this issue but then I am a bit farther away than many in this neighborhood. Those closer to EI Camino should really give me/Meg your feedback before March 18 (please reply to me also so I know that Meg has some feedback). On the other project - I am well aware of the euphemistic term "massage parlor" but I am going to bypass that and work from the standpoint of a reputable place of business. This is a really small place with almost no parking. There would be 8 - 9 massage rooms and hours of operation from 10 am to 10 pm *seven* days a week! I can't even begin to list all the problems this would bring. This is sandwiched between two apartment complexes and traffic on this small street is already really bad. Even if this business operated during normal business hours (dosing around 5) and they were to operate at top capacity, it would cause a real problem in this area. Anyone who has additional issues with these projects please reply to me and I will get them to Meg.
