It seems to me that we are going to need to make a strong
case based on the llunsuitability for a family-oriented neighborhood" issues, yes? Keep your emails coming, and
please do send Sailesh a copy of the emails you send me, so he has electronic versions as well as the (growingl)
pile of hard copies!

Many thanks,
Meg

----- Original Message ----
From: P1Q:_S_ajJ~jLI1..M~_!:l@
To: rn~gy'p-.@e<;Jrtt:J.link. nel
Cc: 8LZS!yJl~~l
Sent: 3/12/2009 4: 16:50 PM
Subject: RE: Project Number UP 2009-03,515 Woodside Road, Assessors' Parcel Number 059-092-270

Hi Meg,
All businesses that offer massage and/or tanning are required to go through a three step process, which
includes obtaining a Use Permit. This process is outlined in the attached handout. The hours of
operation are consistent with other businesses along the Woodside Road corridor. The parking is
considered, but keep in mind that the previous use was a sales and service establishment and the
proposed use is similar in nature (as far as the parking code is concerned). Moreover, the building is
non-conforming with respect to parking since at the time it was built 50..()u years ago, we may have had
little or no parking standards. Hope this helps.

3/13/2009
