<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The Cansultant will be retained by the City to. lead a peer review team to. evaluate a <br />preliminary master plan applicatian far the Redwaad City Saltwarks Site as submitted by <br />the develaper, OMS. As af the date af executian af this first cantractual phase, the City <br />has nat fully develaped the pracess that will be needed to. praperly evaluate the plan <br />applicatian and its cantent. Due to. time canstraints and the current work load of existing <br />staff, the City is seeking outside cansultant services to assist them in completing an <br />initial plan applicatian review pracess. The City has requested the Consultant to. assist <br />the City in this application evaluation and to serve as Project Caordinators, Team <br />Managers and Master Planners while working directly for and with the City. <br /> <br />At this paint, the intent af the City review pracess far the Saltworks Site master plan <br />applicatian is to address three fundamental scope items: <br /> <br />1. Determine if the plan application is sufficient in content and detail <br />to be eligible to proceed through a formal application review <br />process. If it is not sufficient, then determine what information is <br />required to be considered sufficient. <br />2. Identify and verify all assumptions within the application, assess <br />their validity, and identify any other issues or concerns that might <br />be associated with those assumptions. <br />3. Support the City's efforts in public relations, communications and <br />dissemination of information in the most appropriate way <br />possible <br /> <br />City staff has committed to presenting the application to the City Council on August 10th <br />as a starting point to formally acknawledge the acceptance af the OMS application and <br />to. begin the initial application review process. The City has requested the Consultant to. <br />assist them in preparing for this milestone and subsequently provide the follow-up <br />support that is necessary to formally start the review and application assessment <br />process after the August 10th City Council meeting. This contractual agreement is <br />intended to identify the Scope of Wark and the deliverables that relate to goals 1 and 2 <br />described abave. Once the process for moving farward with the formal application <br />review is understood and accepted by both the City and OMS, the Cansultant will <br />expand the scope of this contract to respond to that defined scope of services. <br /> <br />Within this current authorization and scope of work, the Consultant will provide the <br />follawing support services warking in concert with City staff: <br /> <br />Item One: Base Information Compilation and Initial Review: To prepare for <br />the plan application evaluation, a variety of base materials relevant to the review <br />process will be required. The Consultant will work .with the City to develap a list af <br /> <br />Agreement over $1 OK 1 0 <br />City Attorney Approved Version 111803 <br />
