<br />6.2A <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE REDWOOD CITY BUDGET FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR 2009-2010 BY TRANSFERRING $285,000 FROM THE <br />"CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND - CONTINGENCY" ACCOUNT INTO THE <br />"CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND - MAIN LIBRARY 2006 RENOVATION" <br />ACCOUNT AND AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE CAPITAL <br />PROJECTS FUND - MAIN LIBRARY 2006 RENOVATION ACCOUNT <br />FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE MAIN LIBRARY TENANT <br />IMPROVEMENTS AND HVAC REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City adopted Resolution No. <br /> <br />14955 approving its Fiscal Year 2009-2010 budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, funding for completion of the Main Library 2006 Renovation <br /> <br />C'Renovation Project") and Roof and HV AC Program ("HV AC Project") in the amounts of <br /> <br />$251,590 and $475,968, respectively, were approved in the Capital Projects Fund <br /> <br />budget in Fiscal Year(s) 2008-2009; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a current balance of $206,898.00 remains in the Renovation Project <br /> <br />account and $272,089.00 remains in the HVAC Project account; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, design of both projects increased beyond the scope of the original <br /> <br />budgets, and recent changes in the seismic code require strengthening of the structural <br /> <br />connections which increase the cost of these projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is estimated that the estimated total cost to complete the <br /> <br />Renovation and HVAC Projects equal $763,987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the costs of completing the Renovation and HV AC Projects requires <br /> <br />an additional appropriation of $285,000.00 to complete the funding for the proposed <br /> <br />agreement and provide for the cost for contingency and of construction administration. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />A TTYIRESOIRESO.1935 <br />081809 <br /> <br />1 <br />
