<br />6.10 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />necessary to fulfill the purposes stated herein, including the creation of <br />implementation or sustainment group or other teams necessary to further <br />law enforcement information sharing efforts. <br /> <br />4 Data Access and Security Requirements <br /> <br />4.1 Data Access: Access to Member Agencies' Data will be provided <br />utilizing a secure network maintained by the Host Nodes. The San <br />Mateo County Sheriffs Office will be responsible for the maintenance <br />and care of the secure network in San Mateo County and the City and <br />County of San Francisco will be responsible for the maintenance and <br />care of their secure network. Query capabilities shall be provided to <br />Member Agencies and authorized users utilizing any secure network <br />configuration that is acceptable to the Host Node. The information <br />residing in the Data Repositories shall generally be available to other <br />Member Agencies. Each agency will have the prerogative of not <br />sharing those items of data that it deems sensitive or confidential. <br />Nothing in this MOU shall be construed to mean that any Member <br />Agency must share any type of data. The Board of Chiefs and Sheriffs <br />will develop a Guideline Document that will make a recommendation <br />for the type of data to be shared by each agency. This document will be <br />a guideline only and will not be binding. The data to be shared will be <br />the data that the Member Agency already has in its own database and no <br />agency will be required to collect any data that it does not collect in its <br />normal course of business. <br /> <br /> <br />The West Bay Region Node Technology Committee will set the criteria <br />for the minimum nunlber of data sets (i.e. Crime Reports, Citations, <br />Field Investigations, Mugs, Arrests Reports, etc.) that member agencies <br />must provide to be a member agency. In addition, the Technology <br />Committee will adopt guidelines for agencies to withhold or suppress <br />certain documents based on specific criteria.
