<br />SWC:wb 3/12/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8816 <br /> <br />ORiGINAL <br />MAR 1 6 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR REPLACEMENT OF GYMNASIUM <br />AND CONFERENCE ROOM FLOOR AT RED MORTON RECREATION <br />CENTER~ REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8798, adopted February 23, <br /> <br />1981, the City Clerk called for bids for the ,replacement of <br /> <br />gymnasium floor at Red Morton Recreation Center in the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CONKLIN BROS. OF OAKLAND, INC., Oakland, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to said Conklin Bros. of Oakland, <br /> <br />Inc. ; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Conklin Bros. of Oakland, Inc. in the total <br /> <br />amount of Twenty-one Thousand Three Hundred and No/IOO Dollars <br /> <br />($21,300.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br /> <br />March 10, 1981, for the resurfacing according to those certain <br /> <br />specifications entitled "Bid Documents for Replacement of Gymnasium <br /> <br />Floor-1980-81-Red Morton Recreation Building," is hereby accepted <br /> <br />and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the abovementioned work, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 <br /> <br />hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br /> <br />into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain <br /> <br />8816 <br />
