<br />.. .. <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />CGM:bc 8/21/80 <br />ORIGINAL <br />8 6 8 7 AUG 2 5 1980 <br /> <br />N o. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MONTHLY CHARGES FOR THE MAKING <br />OF SANITARY INSPECTIONS AND FOR THE COLLECTION AND REMOVAL <br />OF REFUSE IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has advised this Council <br /> <br />that the charges for sanitary inspection and refuse collection <br /> <br />services in this City be amended to reflect the increase in costs <br /> <br />incident in providing such services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to increase the charges for <br /> <br />sanitary inspection and refuse collection services; <br /> <br />NO~v, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The schedule of charges for sanitary inspection and <br /> <br />refuse collection services shall be based upon the type and size <br /> <br />of the receptacle in which the refuse is deposited (except for <br /> <br />mechanically compacted refuse) and the frequency of service as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />(a) For weekly collection from receptacles not emptied <br />by mechanical means: <br /> <br />Capacity of <br />Receptacles, <br />In Gallons <br /> <br />Monthly Rate for <br />Each Receptacle <br /> <br />1 - 20 - - - - - - <br /> <br />- - - - - - - $ 3.11 <br /> <br />21 - 40 <br /> <br />4.04 <br /> <br />41 - 60 <br /> <br />4.93 <br /> <br />The charge for collections from each container, the <br />capacity of which exceeds sixty (60) gallons, shall <br />be four dollars and ninety-three cents ($4.93) plus <br />an amount equal to seven and nine-tenths cents (7.9~) <br />times the number of gallons of such receptacle in <br />excess of sixty (60). <br /> <br />If more than one can is located at the same pickup <br />location, the charge for such additional cans shall <br />be reduced by ten percent. <br /> <br />8687 <br />
