CEQA: <br />The adoption of an ordinance to implement State law pertaining to ADUs <br />(Government Code section 65852.2) is a statutory exemption from the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Public Resources Code <br />section 21080.17. Implementation of local requirements is not considered a <br />project under CEQA Guidelines Section 15378. The implementation of both <br />height -related standards and additional regulations related to short-term <br />rentals (generally prohibiting), and ordinance effectiveness would be covered <br />under the "common sense exemption" (CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3)). <br />10.
