At pre -
designated intervals, vehicles and equipment undergo a thorough evaluation, including but not limited to
age, mileage, condition, maintenance history, downtime, anticipated future repairs, usage, and vehicle
capabilities. This program also assists user departments in evaluating their fleet asset deployment
strategies to maximize operational efficiency.
The Wastewater Division (Division) of the Public Works Services Department performs routine
maintenance and emergency repairs on the City's sanitary sewer and storm system infrastructure
annually. To effectively carry out these functions, staff utilize equipment capable of lifting heavy debris
and providing access to hard to reach areas within creeks and channels that require routine cleaning. The
Division currently uses a 2008 Ford F750 with a chassis -mounted National 400B 10 -ton Telescopic Crane
to aid in meeting its operational needs. Both have reached the end of their useful life.
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
172
