8.A. - Page 10 of 18 <br />Redwood City — Proposed Second Amendment to the 2019 Action Plan <br />The City of Redwood City wishes to amend its program year 2019 Action Plan for the second time to allocate $642,288 in Community Development <br />Block Grant Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funding received from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) in order to <br />respond to coronavirus (COVID-19) impacts in the community. The City's first allocation was for $448,039 and was allocated to emergency rental <br />assistance in May, 2020. In total the City has received $1,090,327 in CDBG-CV funds. The City will allocate 20% of the total grant amount, $218,066, <br />to the planning and administration of the grant, $275,000 to the Community Child Care Council (4Cs) of San Mateo County and $149,222 to the City's <br />existing emergency assistance program.
