Large Family Child Care Homes - In accordance with State law, removing the <br />requirement for a Use Permit, business license, and the option for neighbors to request <br />a hearing. Removing standards regarding number of pick-up and drop off spaces, hours <br />of operation, requirement for neighbor notification, and ability to appeal a decision. <br />2. Child Care Centers in Residential Zoning Districts - <br />a. Removing the requirement for the child care center to be in conjunction with <br />a public or quasi -public use <br />b. Permitting standalone child care centers with a Use Permit in all residential <br />zoning districts <br />3. Child Care Centers in Commercial and Mixed -Use Zoning Districts - Removing <br />requirement for a Use Permit for all child care centers in commercial and mixed use <br />zoning districts. Allowing child care centers for 60 children or less by right and for <br />more than 60 children with a Use Permit. <br />4. Objective Standards for Child Care Centers - Creating standard requirements for <br />child care centers allowed by right, including obtaining a state child care center license, <br />play equipment shall meet zoning district setbacks, limiting size of commercial signage <br />in residential areas, and requiring one parking space per employee. <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />429 <br />
