The $200k paid to Fehr & Peers could pay for 20 - 40 miles of paint. Paint is cheap, paint is flexible, bike lanes are done fast and 20 miles of real bike lanes is all the city really needs. We don't need another plan, we certainly don't need another uninspiring slide show by Fehr & Peers (there latest suggestion of a Bicycle Boulevard on Lathrop was highly unprofessional). What the city needs is a government that can implement a plan. We need commitment. We need council members who can stand up to sub -par performance and don't except excuses anymore. Funding can't be an issue this time. As each and every one of those plans names many different funding possibilities.
