Senior Civil Engineer Redwood City Public Works Services Department 1400 Broadway Redwood City, CA 94063 Subject: PROPOSAL Redwood Shores Levee Improvement Project - Airport Segment Civil Engineering Services Dear Ms. Le: BKF is very pleased for the opportunity to provide civil engineering services for the San Carlos Airport segment of the Redwood Shores Levee Improvement project. Based on our meetings on May 21 st, June 4th, and subsequent conversations, we have prepared the following proposal. BKF will peiform the requested services per the attached Exhibit A and fee estimate per Exhibit B. Geotechnical consulting services are included in our proposal and will be provided by our subconsultant, ENGEO. To better define their services, we have attached their proposal. Additionally, the report recommendations will be more thorough to justify future certification; and will include the analysis of the field exploration. Weare also including design for a CMU wall as a possible solution to meet the levee height requirements. We understand this project will require significantly more coordination than our other Redwood Shores levee project. We anticipate coordination will be required with the City of Redwood City, the City of San Carlos, the County of San Mateo, the Airport, and the Airport's FAA consultant. BKF is very excited about being a part of a successful team to assist the City in completing this segment of the project on schedule and within budget. Thank you, again, for this opportunity.
