Recommendation: <br />Waive first reading and introduce an ordinance implementing zoning <br />amendments related to child care regulations for large family child care homes, <br />child care centers, and child care development standards. <br />CEQA: <br />Project consistent with General Plan EIR <br />Motion and second, Smith and Espinoza-Garnica, to waive first reading and <br />introduce an ordinance implementing zoning amendments related to child <br />care regulations for large family child care homes, child care centers, and child <br />care development standards, with the friendly amendment to relax the <br />parking standards to require 1 parking space plus 1 parking space for every 15 <br />employees, passes unanimously by roll call vote. <br />8.C. Waive first reading and introduce Zoning Ordinance amendments related to <br />housing, accessory outdoor commercial uses, permit applicability, residential <br />open space requirements, nonconforming structures, and other zoning <br />revisions to address changes in State law and support process improvements <br />(602) <br />MO 21-051 <br />Assistant Director of Community Development and Transportation Sue Exline <br />introduced the item, and Senior Planner Apollo Rojas gave a presentation. <br />Mayor Howard opened the public hearing. <br />There was no public comment. <br />Mayor Howard closed the public hearing. <br />Recommendation: <br />Waive the first reading and introduce miscellaneous Zoning Ordinance <br />amendments. <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), per <br />Section 15061(b)(c) ("common sense exemption"). <br />Motion and second, Hale and Reddy, to waive the first reading and introduce <br />miscellaneous Zoning Ordinance amendments.
