6.0. - Page 7 of 11 <br />Motion and second, Hale and Reddy, to waive the first reading, and re- <br />introduce Zoning Ordinance amendments to Accessory Dwelling Unit <br />requirements, as specified in Alternate 1, Attachment B, for detached single- <br />family and multifamily ADUs to apply a maximum height of 20' with a flat roof, <br />or up to 24' to accommodate a pitched roof, with the additional 4' solely <br />devoted to the roof pitch, and to allow no more than 600 sq. ft. to be <br />constructed above the ground floor, to allow for balconies and second story <br />decks to face the interior of the site and not to adjacent side or rear yards, to <br />remove the second story plate height limitations, to retain requirements for <br />clerestory or opaque second story windows and prohibiting unenclosed <br />stairways when located immediately adjacent to side and rear yard. <br />The motion passes 6-0-1 with Council Member Smith absent. <br />8.
