3.A. - Page 9 of 10 <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The contract with MIG was approved on January 25, 2021 in the amount of $734,434. The cost of <br />preparing these elements is paid for by the General Fund, SB2 and LEAP grants and the General Plan <br />Update fees that are collected as part of building permit costs. Certification of the Housing Element is also <br />an important component of housing grant eligibility, and impacts future funding opportunities. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />These amendments to the General Plan will require an Environmental Impact Report (EIR).
