Consultation: <br />Contractor will provide traffic engineering review of traffic signal plans as requested by <br />the City. <br />Staffing: <br />Contractor shall perform work with only licensed, state certified electricians (Journeymen <br />or Master Electricians). <br />Electronic Request Management System: <br />Contractor will use myRWC, the City's electronic service request system, to receive and <br />respond to service requests from the public. Contractor is responsible for responding to <br />myRWC requests in a timely manner. <br />Preventative Monthly Maintenance (Routine): <br />1. Contractor will inspect signal controller and cabinet contents for proper <br />functioning. Contractor will: <br />a. Check general overall appearance of controller cabinet, type 3 service and <br />battery back-up cabinets (vacuum if necessary); <br />b. Check presence of signal cabinet wiring schematics and records; <br />c. Verify current signal controller timing -logs; <br />d. Verify programmed signal controller timing matches intersection <br />timing -logs; <br />e. Inspect signal controller and conflict monitor functioning in relation to <br />traffic; <br />f. Inspect loop detector amplifiers and tune if necessary; <br />g. Inspect video detection unit/camera alignment (if applicable); <br />h. Inspect load switches and relays; <br />i. Inspect light switches and ground -fault receptacles; <br />j. Inspect cabinet fan and thermostat; <br />k. Inspect battery back-up unit charging system (if applicable); <br />I. Inspect pre-emption system; <br />m. Inspect signal interconnect; <br />n. Inspect wire terminals for corrosion and integrity of all wire connections <br />(including battery back-up system battery terminals); <br />o. Inspect ground rod and grounding system for corrosion and integrity of <br />wire connections; <br />p. Inspect cabinet filter for cleanliness and serviceability and clean or <br />vacuum if necessary; <br />q. Inspect weather-proof gasket on controller cabinet and all other <br />associated cabinets; and <br />r. Inspect hinges and door locking mechanisms and lubricate if needed. <br />2. Contractor will inspect intersection for proper functioning, including inspecting: <br />a. Vehicular signals for alignment, paint, outages, bent, broken, corroded <br />hardware; <br />b.
