29 <br /> <br />Contractor will: <br />a) Maintain and provide to the County, within thirty (30) days of execution of this Agreement, <br />a current inventory of all equipment paid for with non-contract Funds owned by Contractor or <br />paid for in part with non-Contract Funds, used at the shelter and having a current fair market <br />value of $1,000 or more. Provide to the County, within six (6) months of signing the <br />Agreement, an inventory of all durable equipment purchased using contract funds and <br />having a current fair market value of $1,000 or more. <br />2. Computer Hardware and Software <br />Contractor will: <br />a) Be responsible for the provision and replacement of County-owned hardware and <br />software using contract funding, grants or private funds as long as all of the computer <br />hardware located in the County Shelter purchased using contract funds is considered the <br />property of the County. Items owned by the County will be listed in the annual inventory. <br />b) Maintain an inventory of purchased hardware and software. <br />c) Be responsible to provide server, internet connectivity and equipment to operate all <br />computers within the shelter. This will include the set-up of the service for the equipment. <br />3. Operating Supplies <br />a) The Contractor shall be required to purchase all operating supplies for the purpose of any <br />service provided under the terms of the contract with contract funds, Coun ty-directed <br />donations or other funding sources directed solely to the County Shelter; the supplies will be <br />and remain the property of San Mateo County. <br />b) County shall provide animal licensing tags for dogs, cats, animals held under a <br />Dangerous Animal Permit, and animals designated as Service Animals. <br />D. Administration <br />1. Financial systems <br />Contractor will: <br />a) Have in place a process and have the capability to provide billing and provide activity <br />reports to the County. <br />b) Contractor will not release any impounded animals unless the owner of such animal, or <br />another individual with express written or verbal authority (such verbal authority having been <br />conveyed to Contractor directly from owner) to represent the owner, appears at the <br />Contractors facility, and pays all applicable impoundment, emergency medical treatment, <br />and/or licensing/permit fees to redeem said animal. Exceptions may be made where efforts <br />to collect said fees would, in Contractor’s reasonable estimation, potentially jeopardize the <br />safety of its staff, volunteers or facility. Contractor will alert the program manager of Animal <br />Control and Licensing regarding the threat of harm to the staff. <br />c) Contractor will require license fees to be paid before the animal leaves the shelter. <br />d) Contractor will bill the responsible party if it is reasonably determined that they cannot pay <br />the required fees at the time an animal is released. Contractor will use every effort to confirm <br />that the responsible party is unable to pay fees.
