The City will review the technical memo, and the <br />consultant shall respond to comments and revise the technical memo if <br />needed. Upon receiving the final technical memo, the City may, in their own <br />opinion, terminate sub-tasks 2.2, 2.3, and 2.4 if the Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) <br />of the proposed upgrades is insufficient. Deliverables: technical <br />memorandum <br />2.2 50% Design - The City shall select a conceptual design from the <br />aforementioned technical memorandum for the consultant to developed <br />into a 50% design. The 50% design will include fragility curves for existing and <br />proposed tank condition, USGS hazard curves, consequence costs and <br />monetized benefits using FEMA’s benefit and cost analysis methodology for <br />each damage state. The Consultant shall present 50% design level drawings, <br />technical specifications, and a construction cost estimate. Consultant shall <br />advise the City on the likelihood of obtaining FEMA grant funding, and the <br />City may, in their own opinion, terminate the remaining work under sub-task <br />2.2. If the City does not terminate the work, the Consultant shall prepare an <br />Engineering Report to present all findings. Work shall include one formal <br />remote meeting. Deliverables: engineering report <br />$46,960.00 Dec. <br />2021 <br />2.3 Final Design - The City shall provide comments on the 50% design. The <br />Consultant will address all comments and prepare the final 100% design and <br />deliver the final stamped plan set drawings for construction, a <br />constructability review, and a construction manual for bidding. The City shall <br />provide one round of comments all delivered to the Consultant at once. The <br />Consultant shall provide a written response to each comment and <br />incorporate any necessary changes into the final bid package. The Consultant <br />shall serve as the design engineer and provide engineering comments to all <br />bid inquiries regarding the design. Work shall include one formal remote <br />meeting. Deliverables: 3 hard copies of 100% wet stamped full plan sets, Seals <br />page for Technical Specifications, and Engineer’s Estimate. PDF copy of all <br />technical specifications. <br />$13,740.00 Dec. <br />2021 <br />2.4 Engineering Services During Construction - Provide design-engineering <br />services during construction, as requested by the City’s Construction <br />Manager. Services shall include reviewing RFI’s, reviewing all material <br />submittals for general conformance with the plans and specifications, and <br />preparing all plan and specification revisions. Consultant shall perform field <br />investigations as needed to prepare plan revisions. Consultant shall prepare <br />the final as-built plans. Deliverables: 3 hard copies of final plan sheet revisions <br />and a PDF of all revised technical specifications. Bulletins for all revisions. PDF <br />copies of stamped and signed material submittal reviews. PDF copies of RFI <br />responses.
