If the Governor signs the bill, state grants and recycling payments will continue on at their <br />current level. <br /> <br />Effort to Enact Municipal Bankruptcy Provisions Stalled <br />The League and other local government groups responded quickly to counter an effort by public <br />employee unions to gut and amend 58 88 (DeSaulnier) in the final week of session in order to <br />insert language which would require a municipal bankruptcy to be subject to approval of a state <br />panel.
