The proposed work scope outlined in this proposal does not include the subsequent services described above. Proposals for these services can be developed as the project progresses. Fee Arrangement We propose to perform the above scope of services on a time and materials budget with authorization not to exceed without written authorization. The invoice will be issued upon a monthly basis. We understand that retention accounts are not required. Services not specifically included above, such as meetings will be charged on a time and materials basis in accordance with the rates and Basis of Charges presented in the attached 2008 Bay Area Fee Schedule. For the scope of work described in this proposal, our fee will be ~$20,00e. If additional services beyond those presented in our full proposal are required 6> Z ~/~ during the geotechnical investigation due to unusual soil conditions or unanticipated site access conditions, additional authorization will be requested prior to our proceeding with work beyond the approved budget. The fee is based on the assumption that drilling will need to be performed during reduced work hours of 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. If drilling is to be performed during special hours or on weekends, additional drilling cost will be necessary. This proposal is valid for work authorized within 60 days of this proposal date, after that time our proposal should be reviewed. Assumes that permitting fees will be waived by the City of Redwood City but that we will submit an encroachment permit. Site access will also be secured/provided without fee. The City of Redwood City will also coordinate access to the Manzanita Street boring location at the aSH store parking lot with the property owner. 2. Assumes seven borings to 20 feet each and a field schedule of one day. Assumes that saw cutting of streets is not required and that grouting or cold patching of holes is acceptable. 3.
