<br />The proposed work scope outlined in this proposal does not include the subsequent <br />services described above. Proposals for these services can be developed as the project <br />progresses. <br /> <br />Fee Arrangement <br /> <br />We propose to perform the above scope of services on a time and materials budget with <br />authorization not to exceed without written authorization. The invoice will be issued upon a <br />monthly basis. We understand that retention accounts are not required. Services not <br />specifically included above, such as meetings will be charged on a time and materials basis <br />in accordance with the rates and Basis of Charges presented in the attached 2008 Bay <br />Area Fee Schedule. For the scope of work described in this proposal, our fee will be <br />~$20,00e. If additional services beyond those presented in our full proposal are required <br />6> Z ~/~ during the geotechnical investigation due to unusual soil conditions or unanticipated site <br />access conditions, additional authorization will be requested prior to our proceeding with <br />work beyond the approved budget. <br /> <br />The fee is based on the assumption that drilling will need to be performed during reduced <br />work hours of 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. If drilling is to be performed <br />during special hours or on weekends, additional drilling cost will be necessary. Assumes that permitting fees will be waived by the City of Redwood City but that we <br />will submit an encroachment permit. Site access will also be secured/provided <br />without fee. The City of Redwood City will also coordinate access to the Manzanita <br />Street boring location at the aSH store parking lot with the property owner. <br /> <br />2. Assumes seven borings to 20 feet each and a field schedule of one day. Assumes <br />that saw cutting of streets is not required and that grouting or cold patching of holes <br />is acceptable. <br /> <br />3.
