<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Labadie Productions shall plan, manage, and implement the Redwood City Salsa <br />Festival, a celebration of everYthing salsa on September 26, 2009, from noon until 8pm <br />in downtown Redwood City. The event will be held on the following streets/areas: 1) <br />Broadway between Jefferson and Marshall, 2) Theater Way between Broadway and <br />Middlefield, 3) Middlefield between Broadway and Marshall, 4) Hamilton between <br />Broadway and Marshall, and 5) Courthouse Square. <br /> <br />Labadie Productions shall purchase goods and services at Redwood City based <br />businesses to the extent possible. <br /> <br />The following tasks shall be conducted by Labadie Productions. Other relevant tasks <br />may be assigned. <br /> <br />PRE-EVENT <br /> <br />I. City I Agency Meetings, Program and Insurance <br />A. Meet as needed with Redevelopment Agency and City staff to determine the <br />required permits and regulations. <br />B. Design and present an initial program including layout, budget and timeline to <br />Agency and City staff by July 1, 2009. <br />C. Provide appropriate event insurance to the Agency. <br /> <br />II. Marketing I Advertising I Promotions <br />A. Design and place Agency approved newspaper ads in peninsula newspapers for <br />the three weeks prior to the event date. <br />B. Coordinate the marketing plan with the Redevelopment Agency and Parks and <br />Recreation Department to ensure it coincides with the overall marketing plan for <br />downtown events. <br />C. Hire a graphic designer to produce an event poster. <br />D. Hire a publicist to produce a press release and to secure a radio station to <br />promote the event. <br />E. Design and provide a horizontal street banner. Size, method of attachment and <br />location shall be determined by the Agency. <br /> <br />III. Equipment and Hired Help <br />A. Hire crew to install and remove staging, tenting, shade covers, tables, chairs, <br />umbrellas, and sound systems. <br />B. Hire stage managers and a minimum of six security guards. Additional security <br />guards shall be determined by the Police Department. <br />C. Reserve barricades, electrical generators, garbage containers, dumpsters, <br />disabled toilets and hand-washing stations. <br />D.
