Carmel <br /> <br />The above rates based upon minimum monthly water consump- <br />tion at $0.07 per 100 cubio feet, reduced to average daily attend- <br />ance during the same month. <br /> <br />Rental rate for three-month vacation period to be $0.60 per <br />month for each school. <br /> <br />Heavy Industries, Canneries, Tanneries, Chemical Plants, <br />Packing Plants, etc. <br />(Contributing over 30,000 gallons of sewage per day) <br /> <br />Monthly Rental <br />$90.00 per M.G. for the first .35 M.G. annually <br />60.00 per M.G. for the next 15 M.G. annually <br />45.00 per M.G. for allover 50 M.G. annually <br /> <br />The above monthly charge shall be based upon the character <br />and volume of the waste which can be properly handled by the <br />City sewage treatment plant. <br /> <br />The City Engineer may require the installation of suitable <br />screening and pretreatment devioes on the user's premises to pre- <br />pare the waste so that the City Treatment Plant can adequately <br />treat the waste with its designed normal treatment processes. <br />It may also require approved mechanical measuring and recording <br />devices on the user's premises. All the above special equipment <br />shall be installed at the sole expense of the industry and to <br />the approval and satisfaction of the City Engineer. <br /> <br />The City Engineer or his representative shall have the right <br />at all times to check the operation of the screening mechanism, <br />the operation of the measuring and recording devices, and to make <br />records of the readings. <br /> <br />The industry shall, at its own expense, 'remove and dispose <br />of all waste material retained upon the screens and/or not <br />approved for disposal in the City sewage and treatment system. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL RULES AND REGD~TIONS <br /> <br />I. Screening Required <br />{a} Domestic Sewage, consisting essentially of human wastes, <br />may be passed into sewers without screening. <br /> <br />(b) Industrial wastes must be screened through the equivalent <br />of a screen with 20 meshes per lineal inch in both <br />directions. <br /> <br />-~ <br />
