PLAN DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The process followed to develop this hazard mitigation plan had the following primary objectives: <br /> Form a core planning team <br /> Establish a planning partnership <br /> Define the planning area <br /> Establish a steering committee <br /> Coordinate with other agencies <br /> Review existing programs <br /> Engage the public. <br /> <br />3.1 FORMATION OF THE CORE PLANNING TEAM <br />San Mateo County hired Tetra Tech, Inc. to assist with development and implementation of the plan. The Tetra <br />Tech project manager and lead planner reported to the director of the County Department of Emergency <br />Management and to the Multijurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan project manager. A planning team was <br />formed to lead the planning effort, consisting of the following members: <br /> Dan Belville, Director, County of San Mateo Department of Emergency Management <br /> Ann Ludwig, Project Manager, County of San Mateo Department of Emergency Management <br /> Joe LaClair, Planning Services Manager, County of San Mateo Planning and Building Department <br />(retired in March 2021) <br /> Melissa Ross, Planning Services Manager, County of San Mateo Planning and Building Department <br /> Katie Faulkner, Planner III, County of San Mateo Planning and Building Department <br /> Rumika Chaudhry, GIS and Open Data Supervisor, County of San Mateo GIS/Information Services <br /> Marcus Griswold, Senior Climate Adaptation Specialist, County of San Mateo Office of Sustainability <br />(until May 2021) <br /> Hilary Papendick, Climate Change Program Manager, County of San Mateo Office of Sustainability <br /> David Cosgrave, Division Chief, Coastside Fire Protection District <br /> Carolyn Bloede, Director, County of San Mateo Office of Sustainability <br /> Rob Flaner, Project Manager, Tetra Tech <br /> Bart Spencer, Lead Project Planner, Tetra Tech <br /> <br /> <br />3-1
