PLAN DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The process followed to develop this hazard mitigation plan had the following primary objectives: <br /> Form a core planning team <br /> Establish a planning partnership <br /> Define the planning area <br /> Establish a steering committee <br /> Coordinate with other agencies <br /> Review existing programs <br /> Engage the public. <br /> <br />3.1 FORMATION OF THE CORE PLANNING TEAM <br />San Mateo County hired Tetra Tech, Inc. to assist with development and implementation of the plan. The Tetra <br />Tech project manager and lead planner reported to the director of the County Department of Emergency <br />Management and to the Multijurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan project manager.
