The initial coordination activity was an invitation to agencies to provide <br />representatives to participate on the Steering Committee. As the plan update process proceeded, the following <br />agencies were invited to participate and were kept apprised of plan development milestones: <br /> San Mateo County Manager’s Office <br /> San Mateo County Department of Planning and Building <br /> San Mateo County Office of Sustainability <br /> San Mateo County Health Department <br /> San Mateo County Public Works Department <br /> CAL FIRE San Mateo Division <br /> Participating jurisdictions <br />These agencies received meeting announcements, agendas, and minutes by e-mail throughout the plan update <br />process. They supported the effort by attending meetings or providing feedback on issues. All the agencies were <br />provided an opportunity to comment on this plan update, primarily through the hazard mitigation plan website. <br />Each was sent an e-mail message informing them that draft portions of the plan were available for review. In <br />addition, the complete draft plan was sent to the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) <br />and FEMA Region IX for a pre-adoption review to ensure program compliance. <br /> <br />3.6 REVIEW OF EXISTING PROGRAMS <br />Hazard mitigation planning must include review and incorporation, if appropriate, of existing plans, studies, <br />reports, and technical information (44 CFR, Section 201.6(b)(3)). The following plans and programs can affect <br />mitigation within the planning area: <br /> <br /> <br />3-4
