REV: 12-22-21 JB
connection points, construction details and sections, technical specifications,
possible staging areas, and engineer’s estimate of construction costs.
2.Consultant will utilize record drawings to identify existing forcemain alignment and
profile and to map utilities surround the forcemain. If record drawing showing
profile are not available, it will be necessary to pothole to prepare profile, which
can be provided as additional service. An alternative to potholing and profile
forcemain at design stage is to prepare specifications to require contractor to
pothole forcemain to confirm alignment/profile and add allowance for additional
fittings/bends in existing alignment/profile to avoid change orders.
3.Consultant will work in close coordination with City's SCADA consultant, Telstar
Instruments, for the 60% design of the PLC unit and control system programming.
4.DTN will update PG&E application submitted as part of Task 3 with 60% plans.
DTN will obtain permit from BAAQCB as part of Task 7.
5.Consultant will prepare technical specifications in CSI format. It is assumed that
City will prepare front end boiler plate specifications and that we will only assist
with tables for bid price.
6.Structural drawings for new wet-well lid and vaults will be per contractor’s
submittals. It is not in this scope to provide structural design for wet-well and
vaults.
7.The scope does not include design changes and additional pump station features
requested by City after BOD is approved. It is also not in this scope to add new or
modify existing site features such as driveways, sidewalks, ADA access, fence,
and landscape/irrigation. We will use concrete anchor, structural pads and wet-
well rehabilitation similar to Pump Station No, 18 and 20. We will follow
manufacturer recommendation for anchoring equipment to wet-well floor/walls and
service pads.
8.We will use MUTCD standard details for temporary traffic control for force main
improvements. Temporary traffic control plans and detour plans will be prepared
by contractor.
Deliverables:
-Four (4) hard and digital, (i.e. AutoCAD, PDF) copies of sixty percent (60%) plan
set, technical specifications, and engineer’s construction cost estimate.
-Minutes of meeting with City’s comments and resolution on 60% PSE submittal to
proceed and complete 90% PSE submittal.

TASK 5 - 90% DESIGN SUBMITTAL
This task will include preparation of 90% Design Submittal with City’s approval and
resolution of all comments on 60% PSE submittals. The tasks include, but are not limited
to:
ATTY/AGR.2021.331/BKF Engineers (Sanitary Sewer Pump Station No. 8 and No. 9 Design) (Page 17 of 23)
