REV: 04-07-2022 RL <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />1.Scope of Work/Tasks <br />The overall project consists of the following phases to support the development of a solar <br />and battery storage microgrid project (“Project”) at Redwood City Fire Station 9 (“Station <br />9”), located at 755 Marshall Street, Redwood City, CA 94063, with the option of including <br />Marshall Street Garage, located at 750 Marshall Street, Redwood City, CA 94063: <br />Phase 1 – Site <br />Assessment <br />and Feasibility <br />Study <br />Collect data and information to develop project packages that will be <br />used in a competitive solicitation to obtain bids from vendors to deploy <br />and operate the proposed Project. The project package will include <br />minimum sufficient documentation, including but not limited to site <br />plan, solar yield, single line diagram, panel layout, and preliminary <br />financials, that a vendor needs in order to bid on the proposed Project <br />without needing to conduct site visits and do a separate engineering <br />review. <br />Phase 2 – RFP <br />Development <br />and <br />Procurement <br />Services <br />Develop a competitive solicitation to identify potential vendors for <br />deployment and operations of the proposed Project and assist in the <br />evaluation and selection of vendors. <br />Phase 3 – <br />Project <br />Management <br />Provide oversight during the Project, including but not limited to design <br />review, permitting, utility interconnection, building commissioning, <br />systems inspections, and resolution of technical issues. <br />Key activities for each phase are below. Consultant will provide or perform the following <br />key activities: <br />Phase 1 Key Activities: <br />Task 1.1. Site Visits. <br />• Conduct walk through at Station 9 and the Marshall Street Garage to document/take <br />measurements of site attributes as necessary to develop project sizing and configuration <br />options and for development of project packages <br />Task 1.2. Preliminary Design/Data Gathering. <br />• Analyze facility loads to inform equipment selection, including analysis of financial <br />benefits/impacts to City <br />• Identify critical loads (with Facilities Superintendent or designee input) and costs <br />required for segregating those loads for backup <br />• Evaluate structural integrity and requisite load-bearing capabilities of any structures in <br />or on which equipment would be installed, along with informed cost estimation of any <br />required structural improvements to enable system deployments <br />ATTY/AGR.2022.070/Optony Inc.
