REV: 05-31-22 MI <br />Each application of paint must completely obliterate the prior color and must <br />not be sprayed onto the bait block. The over-spray of paint onto bait blocks <br />will be sufficient cause to reject the work and the Contractor will be required <br />to re-inspect all of their work and remove the over spray from the bait blocks <br />before their work will be approved. <br />Bait block replacement shall be accomplished by first removing all of the old <br />bait from the manhole and then installing a new bait block in the manner <br />prescribed in METHOD OF BAIT INSTALLATION of these specifications <br />(including the attachment of a new “Caution” tag painted red on its back <br />side). <br />The nail and tie-wire used to secure the old block must be of the prescribed <br />type as set out in the Materials and Equipment section of these <br />specifications and if still in good condition and firmly anchored between the <br />sidewall and manhole cover rim seat may be left in place and reused. <br />All old bait, unusable tie-wires, and nails must be removed from the <br />manhole and disposed of by the Contractor at an authorized site. <br />Key and Color Code to be Used on Record of Work: <br />+ (black) Bait inspection <br />+ O Inspection and bait replacement <br />(black and <br />red) <br />O (red) Reinstallation including nail, wire, <br />tag, and bait block <br />/ (red) Rat activity <br />F (black) Flooded manhole <br />P (black) Paved over <br />T (black) Tight cover <br />V (black) Vehicle over <br />N (black) Not located <br />III.Sewer Cockroach Control Program <br />The work consists of opening 150 specifically selected sanitary sewer manholes in the <br />City of Redwood City during the months of September, December, March, and June, <br />ATTY/AGR.2022.127/Vector Pest Control (Dewey Services, Inc.)
