REV: 08-08-22 RL <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />Consultant will provide professional services to support and assist Downtown businesses <br />and assist the City with the implementation of the Economic Resiliency Plan and <br />implementation of the Downtown Retail Plan. <br />Consultant will: <br />Consultant Services Economic Resiliency Plan Goals <br />and Tasks <br />1. Lead, host, support, and advertise a variety of <br />special and seasonal events in the Downtown, <br />working closely with the City and business <br />community to promote a lively Downtown <br />environment for residents, workers, and <br />visitors. <br />Support and complement other <br />downtown events such as the Zoppe <br />Circus and Peninsula Restaurant Week <br />to bring more customers and visitors <br />to the Downtown. <br />2. Identify any vacant retail space in the <br />Downtown and coordinate with City economic <br />development manager to recruit and facilitate <br />new restaurant and retail tenants. <br />3. Support shop local initiatives by assisting the <br />City with marketing and promoting awareness <br />of shopping local. <br />Promote and identify vacant <br />commercial and industrial space and <br />sites to brokers and retailers. <br />Promoting awareness for local businesses <br />and encouraging consumers to “shop” <br />local through marketing and promotions. <br />4. Respond to by e-mail or phone, inquiries from <br />businesses outside the Downtown and direct <br />any issues or concerns to City staff. <br />Facilitate regular discussions with <br />business community in coordination <br />with the City and Chamber. <br />First payment: $9,000 for Completion of Tasks 1, 2, 3 and 4 <br />5. Assist with hosting two virtual Town Hall <br />Meetings for Downtown Businesses. <br />Consultant will be responsible for: <br />a. In coordination with the City, create an <br />invitation and email it to Downtown <br />businesses, property owners, and other <br />organization and stakeholders involved in <br />the Downtown. <br />b. Make arrangements for a physical location <br />for the meeting (if appropriate) or virtual <br />participation by businesses and <br />stakeholders. <br />Provide 1) updates to the Downtown <br />business community on the Economic <br />Resiliency Plan’s Sign and Permanent <br />and Semi-Permanent parklets for <br />outdoor dining and business activity; <br />2) provide information on the <br />Downtown economic recovery and <br />other key issues. <br />ATTY/AGR.2022.232/Redwood City Downtown Business Group (Economic Resiliency Plan & Downtown Retail Plan) (Page 11 of 13)
