REV: 09-08-2022 RL <br />in response to any new immigration proposals and promote race equity initiatives that affect <br />immigrant access to benefit programs. <br /> <br />III. 2022-2024 Objectives and Proposed Outcomes <br /> <br />Annual Objectives Outcomes <br />1) Provide community education and outreach via <br />Promotora model, LIBRE outreach staff and the <br />KeepYourBenefitsCA.org website on: (a) public <br />benefit options, including COVID-19 treatments, <br />for immigrants of various immigration statuses, <br />including mixedstatus families; (b) “public <br />charge” status and proposed regulations; (c) <br />immigration options; and (d) opportunities to <br />submit comments on new public charge <br />regulations. <br /> <br />Attendees of outreach events, and those who access <br />the LIBRE text tool or <br />KeepYourBenefitsCA.org website will have increased <br />knowledge and understanding of available public <br />assistance, who is affected by public charge issues, and <br />other programs for eligible low-income immigrant <br />individuals and families. <br /> <br />Legal Aid will: <br />•Conduct trainings to community-based <br />organizations; <br />•Conduct or participate in outreach events in <br />collaboration with outreach and promotion <br />partners; <br />•Train and respond to ongoing technical assistance <br />requests by outreach workers at partner agencies; <br />•With input from outreach partners, update <br />materials on public charge and immigration <br />options and test messages to encourage benefit <br />use; and <br />•Help coordinate outreach efforts by overseeing <br />the shared LIBRE calendar. <br /> <br />Regional outreach outcomes include: <br />•East Palo Alto/Belle Haven region: LIBRE Partners’ <br />outreach will reach 3,000 people. <br />•Redwood City region: LIBRE Partners’ outreach will <br />reach 3,500 people. <br />•Half Moon Bay Region: LIBRE Partners’ outreach <br />will reach 1,500 people. <br />•Other San Mateo County: Legal Aid will reach <br />1,000 people. <br />•25 comments submitted by immigrants if the new <br />proposed public charge, regulation warrants <br />comment. <br />ATTY/AGR.2022.331/Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County (Page 10 of 13)
