<br />Silicon Valley Community Foundation <br />Grant Agreement <br /> <br />Grant Number: 2022-250770 Amount: $230,000.00 Date: August 16, 2022 <br /> <br />Grantee Name: City of Redwood City (“Grantee”) <br /> <br />Grantee Contact: Ms. Melissa Stevenson Diaz <br />City Manager <br />City of Redwood City <br />1017 Middlefield Road <br />Redwood City, CA 94063-1993 <br />Email: mdiaz@redwoodcity.org <br /> <br />Foundation Staff: Silicon Valley Community Foundation <br />2440 West El Camino Real, Suite 300 <br />Mountain View, CA 94040-1498 U.S.A. <br />Phone: (1)650.450.5400 <br />Email: svcfteam@siliconvalleycf.org <br /> <br />Grant Purpose: To support the ACE Program, a community-based pilot initiative to <br />foster positive relationships between community leaders, law <br />enforcement, and youth in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks <br />through youth employment, leadership and summer activities <br /> <br />Grant Period: August 1, 2022 to July 31, 2023 <br /> <br />Project Goals and Milestones: <br />Goal 1: Ensure living wage job opportunities for youth in vulnerable communities and to also provide <br />mental and behavioral health support at schools, coaching and mentorship, afterschool and evening <br />based biking and non-traditional youth development programs in the City of Redwood City and <br />surrounding communities through the months of July 2022-June 2023. <br />Goal 2: Host weekday and weekend events with community-based program partners for Transitional <br />Age Youth (TAY) program to support healthy youth development. <br />Goal 3: The ACE program will provide youth ages 12-24 and their families opportunities to serve on and <br />co-lead Youth/CBO Advisory spaces to shape programming, services, and policies for TAY programs. <br />Goal 4: The ACE Program will identify ways to address the acute need of minimal TAY programs and <br />also expand evidence-based alternative public safety initiatives. <br /> <br />Role of Chan Zuckerberg Initiative: <br />The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (“CZI”) and the Grantee acknowledge that CZI has not in the past <br />pledged, and in this Grant Agreement is not making a pledge or any contractually binding obligation, to <br />provide funding to the Grantee. CZI shall submit grant recommendations from the Chan Zuckerberg <br />Initiative DAF to the sponsoring organization, Silicon Valley Community Foundation (“SVCF”), and the <br />sole authority for implementing those grant recommendations will be with SVCF.
