Slurry Mix Ratios <br />Consultant shall be responsible to ensure optimum mix ratios and mixing and injection process <br />so that delivery process of slurry mix into the subsurface meets or exceeds best practices per <br />industry standard protocols and that the approach meets or exceeds the intent of this scope <br />of work. Consultant shall document and inform the Public Works Director or designee of mix <br />ratios prior to injection and notify the Public Works Director or designee if there shall be any <br />adjustments based on field conditions. <br />3. General Guidelines and Procedures <br />a. Protection of Property/Public Safety <br />Consultant shall maintain public safety and minimize impacts to property by agreeing to: <br />Confine operations to areas permitted by this agreement. <br />Not encumber site with excessive material or equipment. <br />Not impose any load on any structure that will damage or endanger structure. <br />Take precautions necessary to prevent annoyance to occupants adjacent to or in <br />the vicinity of the work. <br />Consultant shall be solely responsible for conditions of the jobsite, including safety of all <br />persons and property during performance of work. This requirement shall apply <br />continuously and shall not be limited to normal working hours. Safety and sanitary <br />provisions shall conform to applicable Federal, State, County, and local laws, regulations, <br />ordinances, standards, and codes. Where any of these are in conflict, the more stringent <br />requirement shall be followed. All public and private property, pavement or improvement <br />shall be safely guarded from injury or loss in connection with this contract by the <br />Consultant at all times. Should any facility, structure, or property be damaged during <br />operations of the Consultant, he/she shall immediately notify the proper owner or <br />authorities. <br />Consultant at his/her expense, shall rebuild, repair, restore, and make good to the Public <br />Works Director or his designee’s satisfaction all injuries and damages resulting from <br />his/her operations. <br />During performance of the work, the Consultant shall erect and maintain necessary <br />temporary fences, bridges, railings, lights, signals, barriers (for sound control if required), <br />or other safeguards at Consultant’s sole expense as shall be appropriate under the <br />circumstances in his/her judgment for the prevention of accidents and to keep sounds <br />levels to below established local, City and County noise ordinance while performing work. <br />Consultant shall take other precautions as necessary to ensure public safety including, <br />but not limited to, traffic control. <br />b.
